Curriculum Aims
Health and Social Care is a subject that I am extremely passionate about and show this through my commitment to not only delivering engaging, fun and relevant lessons but also my commitment to every student that comes through my door. Students are expected to demonstrate in depth, research, analytical and evaluative skills that are invaluable, not only for academic success but also useful beyond the classroom. The Health and Social Care course at KS4 & KS5 covers the knowledge of Communication, Values of Care and Life Stages which are all important elements if students look at working within the care sector. Alongside the knowledge that must be covered students find that they are able to relate to many items that are covered within the lessons, as it is everyday life that people are dealing with on a daily basis which makes the subject of interest to many and exciting to teach.
