Year 11 to 12 Transition

In 2020, we launched our transition units to support Year 11 who were experiencing loss and disorientation as a result of exams being revoked as a result of the pandemic. At Hagley, we saw this as an opportunity, not a disadvantage, and launched brand new learning units to support Year 11s in the next stage of their Post 16 learning journey.

The teaching of A Level at Hagley is highly personalised and effective at ensuring students secure excellent outcomes. Year on year we secure many of the best results for students locally and this means that students move onto some of the most prestigious courses and apprenticeships at universities and companies across the country.

These transition tasks are to support Year 11s to be successful as they begin their A Levels. They are bespoke transition units that will enable you to understand what A Level study will be like. In addition, it will help you to prepare appropriate foundations to begin studying with us in 2021.

We recommend students complete three transition programs /bridging units for your chosen A Levels and one more that may be of interest. This would mean you would be completing about 16 hours of work every week to prepare effectively for Year 12 in September 2021. We look forward to seeing you with all your effective preparation for Year 12 at the start of September 2021.
