Year 12 and 13 now have a modern and comfortable Common Room where they can relax as well as study in our spacious and well equipped Study Centre. Students at Hagley Sixth Form make outstanding progress and this is evident in our results.  We are proud to celebrate our record-breaking results achieved this summer. 26% of students achieved 3A+ or above in facilitating subjects. In addition, 41% of the cohort who have gone to university gained acceptance at prestigious Russell Group universities with 100% of our Oxbridge/Medicine cohort converting their places on receipt of examination results.
Studying with us allows you to access over 26 A-Level subjects and teaching of the highest level. We have a suite of applied general qualifications in Criminology, Applied Science, Applied ICT and Health and Social Care as well as Applied A-Level in Business which is offered through our partnership with Haybridge: these courses are highly successful and carry the same number UCAS points as A-Levels but contain a smaller element of examinations.
Our Sixth Form is known throughout the area for the consistently high quality of its examination results. Alongside securing academic success we ensure that opportunities are provided to nurture every student’s needs and wants. This could not be more prevalent as we return after the disruption caused by the recent pandemic. Our staff have worked hard on strategies that will ensure students recover any opportunities that may have been missed or delayed. Our examination results speak for themselves. However, what is harder for us to communicate is the ethos of our Sixth Form. Every student is known and supported as an individual member of our community. We want every student to enjoy and achieve, to be healthy and safe, to lay the foundations of their future economic well-being and to make a positive contribution to society. We are extremely proud of our sporting achievements as well as our repeated success at national debating competitions. We understand the value of supporting students to develop and that is why we have broadened our enrichment programme even further.
Our Catholic Faith which inspires us to love God and to love our neighbour, as we try to stay faithful to the teachings of Christ, creates the sense of being a family and sharing a common purpose. Consequently, the Sixth Form is a totally inclusive community that allows all students to be enriched academically, spiritually and morally. In essence, it is an exciting and happy environment to study where each individual is pushed to the highest standards and to give of their very best.
