Anti-bullying week is from 13-17 November 2017

The slogan this year is

As a school, in support of the ‘Anti-bullying Alliance’ who are organising this week, we have planned an ‘odd socks day’ which will take place on Tuesday 14th November to promote awareness of anti-bullying and to also show that everyone is unique.

Please encourage pupils from all year groups (7-13) to wear odd socks on this day. The brighter and odder, the better!!!

There will be prizes for ….

-         the best odd socks in each form (awarded by the form tutor)

-         the best odd socks in each year (awarded by the Head of Year)

-         the best odd socks in the school (awarded by Mrs Horan).

There will also be a special award for ….

-         the best odd socks worn by a teacher (also awarded by Mrs Horan)

-         the form group with the highest percentage of pupils in odd socks.

Any pupils who supports this event, by wearing odd socks, will receive 5 house points.

To show support, socks can be worn over trousers, as long as it is done respectfully (please don’t be silly). Girls MUST wear socks over tights.

THE REASON FOR THIS EVENT IS TO PROMOTE ANTI-BULLYING AND THE FACT THAT AS A SCHOOL WE HAVE ZERO TOLERANCE TOWARDS BULLYING.

There will be a collection during tutor time/break time and lunchtime for loose change so that as a community we can make a donation to the Anti-bullying Alliance in support of their work.
